As summer blockbuster season brings in more and more action movies, the sci-fi/horror of Old offers viewers something a little different. Even if the story's not as twisty as fans might hope, the all-star cast that includes Gael García Bernal and Rufus Sewell is sure to bring the story some punch. Shyamalan has had some flops in the past, but Old promises a strange story in unusual environs and looks to provide a way of ramping up the tension of that bastion of summer freedom: the beach. Everyone must work together to find some way to escape unless they are willing to live out their entire lives in the course of a single day. Worse still, while everyone starts aging rapidly, they also cannot leave the beach. After finding a dead body and witnessing it decompose all too quickly, the children on the beach suddenly grow into teens and the adults start the wrinkling process.
